- Why do all sports have to participate in the same league?
- Unlike the CAC, the DCL offers all sports programs / levels that currently exist at Tyngsborough High School.
- Consistency with scheduling, transportation, officials
- Good practice and develops school identity, rivalries
- Is there currently a large school / small school division in the DCL?
- In some sports, YES! (Boys / Girls Soccer, Hockey, Boys / Girls Basketball, Softball, Baseball)
- By Fall of 2008, all sports will have a large school / small school division.
- To qualify for post - season play, teams must either come in first or second in their division OR win 50% of their games OR win 50% of their MIAA divisional games. (Excluding Football)
- Football will be in a large school / small school breakout for the Fall of 2008, but post - season play for football is still being discussed at the MIAA. For the Fall of 2009, there will be a new football divisional breakout established by the MIAA which will include the DCL being represented by two schools, the large school and small school champion.
